Early Menopause Symptoms
How Premature Menopause Affects The Body
If you are unlucky enough to have had to deal with premature menopause, you will know just how frustrating it actually is. However, as well as being heartbreaking, dealing with the menopause early can have serious affects on your body. So just what are these effects that you should be aware of? The Effects That Early Menopause Has on the Body
It is a well known fact that when you experience menopause early, the symptoms are often a lot worse than they are in women who experience the menopause at the right age. You will find that hot flushes and mood swings in particular are extremely bad and vaginal dryness could cause big problems for you. Obviously the chance of you having children is lost and that is one of the most heartbreaking things that many young women have to realise when they do experience the menopause early. Generally the effects that the menopause has on a young body are worse than the one it has on an older body. For example, once a woman reaches the menopause, her health usually starts to deteriorate. The menopause brings on a whole range of problems and the heath risks are a lot higher. When you consider that you are going through menopause early, you have to realise that you are likely to suffer these health risks that the menopause brings. This is because you are younger and therefore you have more chance of developing a serious health problem due to the menopause before you die. You are a lot more likely to develop hearty attacks as well as other heart disease and you also have a large risk of developing Osteoporosis. Another severe problem which you may encounter too includes Alzheimer's. Also, when a woman goes through the menopause earlier than they should, the lack of estrogen often causes a build up of cholesterol plaque within the vessel walls. This can cause clotting and also the bones can become fragile. Overall the effects on the body of an early menopause can be disastrous and heartbreaking. They are so much worse than they would be if you experienced the menopause later on in life. Of course, there are treatments such as HRT which can help dramatically so always ask your doctor about the possibilities on offer. If you cannot find anything medical to treat your symptoms, you could always look out for alternative therapies. |
